LOVING - LEADING - LIVING
Missions Some of what God has to say about missions . . .
♦ "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10
♦ " If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Matthew 6:24
♦ "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Cor. 15:58
♦ "Love the Lord your God, walk in all His ways, obey His commands, hold fast to Him, and serve Him with all your heart and all your soul." Joshua 22:5
♦ "He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." 2 Corinthians 5:15
♦ "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Luke 10:2
♦ "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." John 20:21

ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING Each year, Southern Baptists honor the life and work of Annie Walker Armstrong (1850-1938) when we give to the annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American missions. As a tireless servant of God and a contagious advocate and supporter of mission efforts throughout the world, Annie rallied churches to give more, pray more, and do more for reaching people for Christ. "Truly I tell you, whatever you did
for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me."
Matthew 25:40
The Christian Community Compassion Center (4 C's) operates a Homeless Shelter, Food Pantry and Helping Hands that are trying to meet the needs of the people in the Saline County area. As the needs keep growing, the need of public support becomes greater. Many area volunteers are giving of their time, but they always could use more help. Over 150 individuals were housed in the shelter in 2011. The homeless are allowed to stay up to 30 days in the shelter.
Several area churches give regularly, as well as business and individuals, but the 4 C's is in need of both financial support as well as the items that are listed below. If you would like to help with this ministry, you may drop them in the box in the Ministry Room or you may also take them by the 4 C's Homeless Shelter located at 632 N. Jackson Street, Harrisburg IL.
